John Calipari is hoping that Kentucky fans don’t panic after the Wildcats suffered an 88-72 blowout loss at Gonzaga on Sunday in Spokane.
The Wildcats found themselves behind the 8-ball as Mark Few’s team eventually built a 41-25 lead at halftime and ultimately grabbed the home victory to improve to 3-1. Kentucky was outrebounded 39-29 while going just 6-of-25 from 3-point range, with the Zags shooting 56.4 percent from the floor.
That’s now 2 out of 3 dropped for the Wildcats, who have beaten Howard, Duquesne, and South Carolina State. While they should beat those teams, their inability to beat stronger opponents like Michigan State and Gonzaga has troubled fans, especially after some interesting comments from Jacob Toppin following Sunday’s loss.
Calipari, during his weekly radio show on Monday, continued to deliver his message of patience.
Calipari: "Look folks, this stuff is all fixable. We've got a good team… We just have work to do so that I can get them moving in the right direction." Notes that the 2 teams in last year's title game lost games, inc both to UK early in the season. "You're playing for March."

Kentucky has a pair of winnable games ahead of it against North Florida and Bellarmine before taking on Michigan, a Sweet 16 team a year ago.
Needless to say, with the Wildcats coming off a 1st-round exit, performances like the one on Sunday won’t do much to ease the feelings of restlessness among the fanbase.
