John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats will head into Christmas with a big victory, taking down Western Kentucky 95-60 in Lexington on Wednesday night.
However, the Wildcats were a bit shorthanded in the rout, as Dontaie Allen and Lance Ware didn’t play in the game.
After the win, Coach Cal spoke with the media, saying Allen hurt himself in practice and wasn’t ready to go. He added that Ware also wasn’t at 100%:
John Calipari on Dontaie Allen, who did not play again tonight: "He hurt himself in practice…I asked Dontaie before the game, 'How you feeling?' 'I’m a little shaky.'" Lance Ware also said he wasn't feeling right, so he didn't play.

It doesn’t sound like either injury is a serious one, so we’ll see if those guys are able to play on Dec. 29 when SEC play starts.
The Wildcats will take on Mizzou in the SEC opener. The game will take place in Lexington and will tip off at 7 p.m. Eastern time on the SEC Network.
