Former Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel has hired Drew Rosenhaus as his new agent, according to a report by CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora that has been confirmed by ESPN. Rosenhaus’ online bio boasts that the Miami-based agent has negotiated more than $2 billion in NFL contracts.

Erik Burkhardt, Manziel’s former agent, dropped the 2012 Heisman winner as a client last month citing the quarterback’s unwillingness to take his advice on how to address off-the-field issues. Manziel is currently an NFL free agent after being released by the Cleveland Browns on March 11.

Rosenhaus will unlikely be able to find Manziel a new team until his client’s legal matters are resolved. In February, Dallas police referred its domestic violence case against Manziel to a grand jury. The case stems from assault accusations made by Colleen Crowley, Manziel’s ex-girlfriend, regarding multiple incidents the night of Jan. 30 that left Crowley with a ruptured eardrum. The NFL is conducting its own investigation of the incident.

Manziel was the No. 22 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
