New Florida head coach Jon Sumrall is back to only having one job, as his Tulane squad fell to Ole Miss in the opening round of the College Football Playoff on Saturday.

With the Green Wave’s 2025 campaign now officially wrapped up, Sumrall can shift his full focus to leading the UF program, as he’s been working both positions ever since he was hired as the Gators’ next head man in late November.

And following the conclusion of Tulane’s season, Sumrall was also able to begin hiring some of his former assistant coaches to join him in the Sunshine State.

First on the list was offensive coordinator Joe Craddock, as ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Craddock will follow Sumrall to Gainesville in order to work as the quarterbacks coach.

The 40-year-old Craddock has plenty of experience within the South and high-level programs. A former quarterback at Middle Tennessee State from 2008-2010, Craddock’s college coaching career got started when he joined Dabo Swinney’s Clemson as a player development coordinator in 2012.

After serving as a graduate assistant with the Tigers from 2013-2014, Craddock then acted as SMU’s offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach from 2015-2017. He then held positions as Arkansas’ OC (2018-2019), UAB’s tight ends coach (2020-2021) and Troy’s offensive coordinator (2022-2023, also under Sumrall).
