Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire hasn’t played since Dec. 26, as he was forced to leave in the 3rd quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a collarbone injury. While there was no structural damage, he was held out of the Chiefs’ Week 17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Jan. 2.

The Chiefs will wrap up their regular season with a trip to Denver to face the Broncos. They have already qualified for the playoffs, but even with the loss to the Bengals, they can still seal the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win over the Broncos and a Houston Texans win over the Tennessee Titans.

However, Kansas City will be without Edwards-Helaire for a 2nd straight game as the team on Thursday ruled him out once more. Now, the question shifts to whether the former LSU star will be ready in time for the postseason.

Edwards-Helaire has run for 517 yards and 4 touchdowns on 119 carries in 2021.
