Skyline standout Quaydarius Davis picked up 21 scholarship offers as a 4-star recruit but he won’t be a Jayhawk after signing with Kansas in February.

KU announced Davis’ dismissal from the program after a woman tweeted photos of a bruised and swollen eye and blood on her lip, accusing Davis of domestic violence.

“Yesterday, after the allegations referencing a football recruit were brought to our attention, we immediately contacted individuals with knowledge on the matter to try and learn more about what happened,” Kansas said in a statement released Friday. “Based on the information we were able to gather KU football has terminated the recruitment of this individual and communicated to him that he will no longer be recruited to play football at the University of Kansas. While we do not know the full details of what occurred in this instance, we were able to learn enough information and decide that it is in the best interest of Kansas Football that we separate from this individual. We condemn violence of any kind against women.”

A native of Dallas, Texas, Davis was rated the No. 23 wide receiver and No. 142 recruit overall in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. His scholarship offers included Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M, per 247Sports. Rivals rated Davis 6.0, making him the highest-rated KU signee since Rivals began rating players in 1999.
