The Cleveland Browns initially announced that first-round draft pick KC Concepcion would be wearing No. 17 in the NFL. Just a few weeks later, Concepcion has made a change.
The former Aggie will don the Browns’ No. 1 jersey for his first season in the NFL, the team revealed on Monday
Concepcion is a do-it-all prospect for Cleveland, and he was fantastic with the ball in his hands at Texas A&M after starting his career at NC State. Last year with the Aggies he totaled 61 receptions for 919 yards and 9 touchdowns, as well as 10 rushes for 75 yards and 1 touchdown. He was also dangerous as a punt returner, totaling 456 return yards with 2 punt return touchdowns.
Concepcion is one of 2 receivers selected by the Browns this past NFL Draft alongside former Washington receiver Denzel Boston. With Harold Fannin and Jerry Jeudy already in the boat, the Browns have some top-tier weapons available for Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders come this fall.
Because of his unique abilities in space, expect Concepcion to carve out an immediate role in Cleveland as the Browns try to fight their way back to the Playoffs.
