Anyone not paying attention to Kentucky football’s 2027 recruiting class should probably start doing so.

The Wildcats added another 4-star talent on Wednesday, landing a pledge from Rolesville, North Carolina native Marquis Bryant. Kentucky beat out the likes of Tennessee and Auburn from his services, but he ultimately chose the Wildcats over offers that include Clemson, Texas A&M, Miami, Michigan and Ohio State, to name a few.

“”I’m ready to change the culture for BBN,” he told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.

New Wildcats head coach Will Stein is certainly looking to change the Kentucky culture, and the number of commitments he has rolling appears to show the new approach is paying dividends.

Bryant is the 13th pledge of Kentucky’s 2027 cycle, which currently ranks 6th in the country per247Sports. He’s also the Cats’ second highest rated commit behind only 4-star quarterback Jake Nawrot and the 3rd safety addition alongside 3-star prospects Tristin Hughes and Larron Westmoreland.

According to 247Sports, Bryant is considered to be the No. 193 overall prospect and the No. 30 safety in the Class of 2027. He’s also considered to be the No. 6 overall prospect out of the Tar Heel State.
