Former Kennesaw State standout forward Braedan Lue will be a Vol.

On Friday, Lue told reporters he has committed to Tennessee and coach Rick Barnes. On3’s Joe Tipton was first to report the decision. Lue will have 2 seasons to play at Tennessee after spending 2 with the Owls.

Lue is a 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward who can block shots, throw down lobs on the break, and step outside for the occasional 3.

He was a 2-time Georgia 6A State Player of the Year before joining the Owls ahead of the 2024-25 season. As a true freshman, he turned in one of the best seasons by a first-year player in school history, appearing in all 33 games (32 starts) while averaging 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 25.5 minutes a night.

His 36 blocks that year tied for the third-most in a season in KSU history and earned him a spot on the CUSA All-Freshman team.

Lue appeared in all 35 games (34 starts) for the Owls in 2025-26, helping the school to a CUSA Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Lue averaged 10.9 points (second on the team) to go with 5.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.4 blocks. He was a CUSA All-Defense selection as a sophomore.

The Douglasville, Georgia, native is a career 44.4% shooter from the field and a 27.8% shooter from 3.

Lue joins a Tennessee transfer class that now holds 6 public commitments. The Vols have also landed guard Terrence Hill Jr. (VCU), guard Jalen Haralson (Notre Dame), guard Dai Dai Ames (Cal), guard Tyler Lundblade (Belmont), and forward Miles Rubin (Loyola-Chicago) out of the portal.
