Kentucky OF Jackson Gray is a talented overall player, and his defense in center field came up big for the Wildcats on Sunday.

Going for a sweep of the Missouri Tigers, Kentucky faced a 2-on, 2-out situation in the top of the 8th inning. Mizzou OF Trevor Austin then laced a line drive to center field.

But, as you can see below, Gray was there to make an incredible diving catch and end the Mizzou threat:

If that ball got down, the Tigers likely would have tied the game, if not taken the lead. Instead, the score remained 2-1 in favor of Kentucky heading into the bottom of the 8th.

The Wildcats then added an insurance run before returning to the field in the top of the 9th and closing out the sweep of the Tigers with a 3-1 victory. In addition to his stellar defense, Gray also had 2 hits and scored 2 runs in the Kentucky win.
