Kentucky sets status of Lamont Butler, Jaxson Robinson for showdown vs. Alabama

Kentucky is heading into a crucial road showdown vs. Alabama on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the Wildcats will continue to be without guards Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson as confirmed in the pre-game availability reports released on Friday.
Butler and Robinson are 2 of the key pieces for Mark Pope’s Kentucky squad this season with both averaging in double figures and shooting 38% from 3-point range. Butler has not played since a Feb. 11 win over Tennessee while Robinson last played on Feb. 8 in a blowout win vs. South Carolina. That duo will miss the game vs. Alabama.
Alabama also confirmed some absences for the game with Derrion Reid ruled out for the game. Star point guard Mark Sears also appears on the availability report, though he is listed as probable for the matchup.

Provided Sears plays, Alabama will feel somewhat confident in looking to bounce back from its first instance of back-to-back losses this season. After a loss to No. 1 Auburn last weekend, the Tide suffered a midweek loss on the road to Mizzou.
Kentucky is listed at +10 on the road tomorrow per bet365, so expect this one to be an uphill climb for the Wildcats. Fans can take advantage of the bet365 bonus code KY for the best offers.
Kentucky is outside of the race for the regular season SEC title, but the Crimson Tide still have an outside shot but trail Auburn by 2 games in the standings. We’ll see who comes out on top on Saturday with both teams jockeying for seeding in the SEC Tournament at this point in the calendar.
