The Kentucky Wildcats needed late-game dramatics to defeat the South Carolina Gamecocks and LSU Tigers. They didn’t need a two-point conversion to beat the Oklahoma Sooners, but theatrics in the final moments remained part of their winning recipe.

Jordan Castell and Ty Bryant each intercepted two Oklahoma passes, and tight end Willie Rodriguez hauled in two touchdown passes to carry Kentucky to a 21-13 win over Oklahoma. Castell’s second interception, a 41-yard pick-six gave the Wildcats their eight-point lead with 1:17 remaining in regulation. Moments later, Bryant’s second interception sealed their victory.

Kentucky picked off four Sooner passes — three from quarterback John Mateer, one on a fake field goal from punter Jacob Ulrich — to overcome just 230 total yards of offense in Norman. Wildcat passer Kenny Minchey completed 75% of his passes (21/28) for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Both scoring tosses were thrown to Rodriguez.

Kentucky (6-1, 4-1 SEC) welcomes Vanderbilt to Kroger Field in Week 8 (7:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network) ahead of its Halloween bye. Oklahoma (3-3, 1-2 SEC) travels to Starkville for a matchup with Mississippi State next Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network).
