Florida is looking to end a two-game losing skid, but the initial injury report for Saturday’s game at No. 7 Texas won’t help inspire confidence.
Four notable names are listed for Jon Sumrall‘s squad. Running back Duke Clark has been ruled out, while quarterback Aaron Philo and wide receivers Vernell Brown III and Bailey Stockton are considered questionable.

While Jadan Baugh is Florida’s RB1, Clark has been a key part of the Gators’ ground attack. In 6 games, Clark has 36 carries for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns. His average of 7.36 yards per carry ranks 4th in the SEC.
Clark rushed 12 times for 126 yards and a touchdown in the win over Ole Miss on Sept. 26, but recorded only 4 carries for 6 yards in October losses to Mizzou and South Carolina. Behind Clark on the depth chart are Evan Pryor (16 carries, 40 yards) and London Montgomery (9 carries, 36 yards).
Philo, a transfer from Georgia Tech, has started all 6 games for the Gators. He is 105-of-149 passing on the season for 1,341 yards, 9 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He has also rushed 44 times for 104 yards and 3 scores. Tramell Jones is Philo’s backup.
Brown leads the Florida receiving corps in yards per game with 67.8, but has missed the past 2 contests. The sophomore has 17 catches for 271 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season.
Stockton, a fellow Georgia Tech transfer, has 23 catches for 258 yards and 2 TDs in 6 games.
Florida at No. 7 Texas is set for noon ET. The game will air on ABC.
