At this point, it doesn’t look like anyone can stand in the way of another Alabama national championship.

Dominant at every level, the Crimson Tide continue to look the part of the country’s best program and it really hasn’t been close. But if there’s one team that has a chance to dethrone Nick Saban’s crew by season’s end, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit has an idea of who it could be.

Clemson.

Considering Clemson was undefeated prior to last season’s College Football Playoff title game (where it lost to Alabama in one of the most exciting finishes in NCAA championship history) and has started the 2016 season 9-0 with another ACC Championship Game in sight, it’s hard to argue.

Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson has his team in strong position for another playoff run and, as things currently project, another potential meeting with Alabama — this time in Tampa.
