Lane Kiffin is focused on getting LSU to the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2019’s national championship season.
With a heavily remade and expensive roster, the Tigers will need to hit the ground running under Kiffin’s leadership in 2026. But if there’s one thing that could hold them back, it could be the depth the team has in its offensive line room.
“It’s a concern. It’s high on our list of concerns right now. We have to continue to get guys better; they have to improve so we feel more confident with that,” Kiffin said on Thursday, according to Tiger Droppings.
LSU’s front five is projected to include left tackle Jordan Seaton, left guard Bo Bordelon, center Braelin Moore, right guard Aliou Bah, and right tackle Weston Davis. Seaton, from Colorado, and Bah, from Maryland, are transfers.
Lane Kiffin‘s priority, though, is getting the players behind them ready to go if needed. For example, Darrin Strey, a redshirt freshman from Kentucky, saw time in four games last season, primarily at right tackle. Sophomore Devin Harper, who joined Kiffin from Ole Miss, played a combined 72 snaps across six games as a true freshman.
With LSU’s season opener against Clemson coming up on Sept. 5, the work continues on getting the roster game-ready as Kiffin’s team will face Playoff expectations immediately.
