The No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels will be traveling down to Baton Rouge this Saturday for a high-stakes clash against their rivals in the No. 4 LSU Tigers, and this already heated match up gained a new wrinkle of intrigue on Monday afternoon, as Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin‘s daughter, Landry, announced via Instagram that she is dating star LSU linebacker Whit Weeks.
This announcement naturally led to some pretty hilarious reactions online, and even though he is in he middle of preparing for the Rebels’ biggest game of the season so far, Kiffin himself couldn’t resist chiming in on the whole matter via X (formerly Twitter).
He first responded to a couple of different posts on X that were discussing the situation, and told them to “Take the over,” seeming to indicate that he plans to run up the score on his daughter’s new boyfriend should he get the opportunity to do so.

He then retweeted a post he made back in May of him, his wife, and Landry when she was a baby at the beach, and said that she will in fact be rooting for the Rebels on Saturday.
Anybody who has followed Kiffin over the past 20 years knows that, at the end of the day, this is all just a bit of extra fun for him ahead of a big matchup, and he’s more than likely not upset in the slightest over this whole situation.
At the end of the day, his focus is on beating the Tigers. Still, that doesn’t mean that beating his daughter’s new boyfriend in the process won’t be a little extra icing on the cake, should Ole Miss pull off the upset in Death Valley.
