Things are getting messy in Oxford to put it mildly. Lane Kiffin reportedly wants multiple Ole Miss staffers to be with him in Baton Rouge on Monday, or they won’t have a spot on the LSU coaching staff.
The latest news comes from an On3 report. SEC insider Chris Low is reporting that Kiffin has most of his LSU offensive staff lined up. Kiffin reportedly told staffers to get on the plane to Baton Rouge or not be part of his Tiger coaching staff. LSU has reportedly scheduled Kiffin’s press conference for Monday.

Kiffin met with Ole Miss leadership on Saturday, but the Rebels head coach did not make a public announcement on his future with the program. On Sunday morning, it was reported that Kiffin threatened to poach Ole Miss players and staffers if he were not allowed to coach the team in the College Football Playoff. Ole Miss players have reportedly become unhappy with the situation. A team meeting originally scheduled for 9 a.m. CT was rescheduled to 1 p.m. CT.
