After every Wednesday practice, LSU coach spends a few minutes with the media fielding questions. Here are some dispatches from this week’s session.
- Brandon Harris, who suffered an ankle injury and was in a boot for a few days following the Auburn game, and after going through half of practice on Monday he was a full participant on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Harris and Anthony Jennings have been splitting reps “right down the middle” in practice, and Miles says that both have been throwing the ball better. As he hinted at earlier in the week, Miles will not name a starting quarterback for the Florida game until close to kickoff. It’s “likely” that both will play, Miles said.
- Defensive tackle, a sore spot on the defense, could get a boost this week. Quentin Thomas, who has missed the last two games battling an arm injury, has been practicing and could play against Florida. Meanwhile, freshman Trey Lealaimatafao has been cleared to practice after a nasty weight room accident in the spring, but Miles doesn’t know if he’ll get onto the field anytime soon.
- After taking a vicious hit against Auburn, freshman Trey Quinn is ready to go. Miles praised Quinn’s fellow freshmen, including Malachi Dupre and Leonard Fournette, calling them a quality group.
