LSU announces docuseries featuring Lane Kiffin’s first year as Tigers’ head coach

Whether you love him or hate him, you are likely fascinated by Lane Kiffin. Everything the man does draws attention. Now that he’s in Baton Rouge, LSU has decided to capitalize on his polarity not only on the field, but off it.
On Friday, LSU announced it would be producing a docuseries on Kiffin’s first year with the school. The project, titled “The Difference,” will provide an all-access look at the football program.

“The excitement surrounding LSU Football and Year 1 of the Kiffin era is undeniable,” LSU said in a press release. “In 2026, the Tigers will debut new faces, both on and off the field, host a marquee home schedule inside Tiger Stadium and carry lofty expectations from the opening kick. The Difference will bring you along the way, every week, like never before.”
The docuseries will initially be released on Tuesday evenings during the season on LSU+. However, each episode will also air Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. E.T. on ESPNU.
The series will begin on Sept. 8 (LSU+) and Sept. 9 (ESPNU) following a Tiger-on-Tiger matchup with Clemson to open Kiffin’s tenure.
Kickoff for that highly anticipated contest versus Dabo Swinney and Co. on Sept. 5 is 7:30 p.m. E.T. (ABC).
