After rocketing out to a 3-0 start to their 2025 campaign, the No. 3 LSU Tigers are now set for a bit of a reset game against FCS opponent Southeastern Louisiana at home this Saturday.

This will be the second meeting all time between the Bayou Bengals and the Lions, with the first being a 31-0 LSU win back in 2018 in what was then Joe Burrow’s second-ever start under center for the Tigers.

Burrow won’t be in Baton Rouge this weekend to see his alma mater take on the team he helped soundly defeat 7 years ago, but there will be another former Tigers’ gunslinger in attendance for the game in Jarrett Lee.

Lee, who was a part of the LSU program from 2008-11 and was the starting quarterback during their dominant 2011 campaign, will be honored as a guest captain this weekend along with 3 other former Tiger greats.

In addition to Lee, LSU will also be welcoming back former linebackers Jacob Cutrera and Luke Sanders, and defensive back Craig Steltz, all of whom played on the Tigers’ 2007 National Championship-winning squad.

Each of these guys is sure to get a big round of applause from the LSU faithful in attendance this weekend, and they could also end up rubbing some good luck off on this year’s squad as they attempt to chase down a natty of their own.
