LSU interim coach Frank Wilson has an open week ahead of him as the smoke clears after the firing of Brian Kelly.

Wilson’s main role will be helping the Tigers finish strong. Their College Football Playoff hopes have completely vanished, but there’s still an opportunity — albeit a bit distant one — to end the year with a third 10-win season in the last four years.

It sounds like the team is all-in, according to Wilson, who said on Tuesday that he is not aware of anyone opting out of the remaining four games of the regular season.

“It’s a testament to the quality of young men that we have that they signed up to come to school here,” Wilson said, per Jerit Roser. “They came at the helm of coach Kelly as our head coach, and they were also committed to this university, and they were committed to one another.”

After the open week, the Tigers travel to Alabama on Nov. 8. They return to Death Valley on Nov. 15 to face Arkansas in the Battle for the Boot. Following its home finale against Western Kentucky on Nov. 22, LSU wraps the regular season at Oklahoma.

Meanwhile, it’s not Wilson’s first time as a head coach. He led UTSA’s program for 4 seasons before a two-season stint at McNeese State.
