The frenetic nature of recruiting out of the transfer portal is showing itself at LSU, as the Tigers are reportedly “pushing” for a commitment from offensive lineman Jordan Seaton before he leaves the state for another visit.
LousianaSports.net reported Sunday that Seaton, a transfer from Colorado, is set to visit Oregon on Monday – even though his LSU itinerary includes dinner Monday night at an exclusive club in Baton Rouge.
Another factor in Seaton’s recruitment is that Tuesday is the final day to register for classes at LSU for spring semester – meaning LSU’s spring roster will be complete at that point.
Seaton, a coveted 6-foot-5, 330-pound sophomore with two seasons of remaining eligibility, has already visited Miami and Mississippi State since announcing his transfer from Colorado. Seaton is rated as one of the five-best transfer portal players in the 2026 cycle and the top offensive lineman in this class.
Seaton chose the Buffaloes as a 5-star recruit from IMG Academy in Florida as part of the 2024 class, selecting Colorado over offers from Ohio State, Alabama, and Tennessee. Seaton made an immediate impact in Boulder, being named a Freshman All-American offensive tackle in 2024 and then earning second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2025.
LSU already has 38 incoming transfers in the 2026 class, making up for the 37 outbound players from the 2025 roster.
