LSU lands commitment from 4-star 2021 QB out of Texas, son of former SEC coordinator

SEC fans will remember the last name Nussmeier, as Doug Nussmeier was the offensive coordinator at Alabama in 2012 and 2013 and the Florida offensive coordinator from 2015 to 2017. He now serves as the QB coach for the Dallas Cowboys.
His son, Garrett, is a 4-star pro-style quarterback in the 2021 recruiting class, and on Monday, he made his commitment decision.

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Nussmeier is the No. 7 pro-style quarterback in the 2021 class and the No. 15 overall recruit from the state of Texas.
The Tigers now have 9 players in their 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 10 in the nation and No. 3 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
