New LSU head coach Lane Kiffin has been expertly filling out his roster during the transfer portal window, signing a number of highly sought-after players at key positions on both offense and defense.
The offensive side of the ball, in particular, has been a massive focal point for Kiffin, and he has successfully overhauled the Bayou Bengals’ attack by bringing in players who fit right into his high-octane system.
Kiffin and LSU gained another important piece to the puzzle on Thursday night, with former Oregon Ducks tight end Zach Grace announcing his commitment to the Tigers, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
A versatile run blocker and playmaker, Grace was actually an unranked player in the 2023 recruiting cycle and elected to walk on at Oregon before redshirting his freshman season in Eugene.
He emerged as a run-blocking specialist during his second season with the program, and became a key piece in the Ducks’ offense in 2025 at both the tight end and fullback positions, helping Oregon’s run game blossom into one of the nation’s best in his role as lead blocker.
Grace carved out an important role with Oregon that very few are able to, and now he’ll be making the move down to Baton Rouge, where he’s sure to be used in a variety of different ways by Kiffin and offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr.
