LSU WR Malachi Dupre didn’t get off to a great start this season, but has picked it up lately.

He’s caught 15 of his last 20 targets, good for 212 yards and two touchdowns.

Dupre told The Advocate that he felt his early-season production was not what he was capable of and that he worked hard to get back to top form:

โ€œWhen you play football at LSU, thatโ€™s one step under the NFL,โ€ Dupre said. โ€œYour production being that low is not acceptable, especially with the offense that we had coming into this year. Our passing game has been a question mark coming into the season. Iโ€™m getting all those targets, and Iโ€™m not getting much out of it.

โ€œI knew that wasnโ€™t acceptable, so I told myself whatever I had to do to fix I would.โ€

Dupre has clearly found his rhythm with Purdue transfer QB Danny Etling, which should scare LSU’s opponents moving forward.

On the season, Dupre has 18 catches for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
