Mark Richt promotes Georgia’s streak of players on Super Bowl rosters, ‘Best in the nation’

With the NFL playoffs moving on to the championship rounds, Georgia can now claim that its streak of having former players on Super Bowl rosters is extended to 21 years.
Georgia has players on all 4 remaining teams, the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, so the Bulldogs are guaranteed to be represented in SoFi Stadium in February. LSU is tied with Georgia, and also is guaranteed representation in the Super Bowl because the Bengals have multiple LSU players, and the Chiefs have Tyrann Mathieu, who left Sunday’s game with a head injury.
With Deandre Baker and Mecole Hardman w/ the Chiefs, Trey Hill w/ the Bengals and Charlie Woerner w/ the 49ers Along with the Rams all winning this weekend assures that Georgia will continue its streak of players on Super Bowl rosters. 21 straight! Best in the nation.Go Dawgs!

In NFL terms, the AFC Championship is a contrast of organizations in terms of recent success.
Kansas City will host that game for the fourth straight year as it seeks a third consecutive Super Bowl berth. The Bengals were last in the big game in 1989. The Rams and 49ers have each had recent history in the Super Bowl.
The 49ers lost to the Chiefs 2 years ago, one year after the Rams fell to the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
