Those connected to the Dallas Cowboys often wear their emotions on their sleeves. It may be owner Jerry Jones, or former wide receiver Michael Irvin, but it’s safe to say it doesn’t take long to see where they stand on an issue.

With the NFL Draft only days away, Irvin appeared on ESPN’s Get Up to share his thoughts on former Florida TE Kyle Pitts. That’s why he would endorse the Cowboys trading up to get Pitts.

“For what that kid is, he’s a phenomenal, phenomenal talent,” Irvin said. “He’s really a wide receiver playing the tight end position. When I study him, he talks about how much he loves learning, all the nuances of blocking and everything. It seems like he really wants to be great. It would be insane to have him, as much as Dallas needs defense, it would be insane to have him.”

Irvin then addressed the issue that there, “wouldn’t be enough balls to go around” with the Cowboys.

“This kid would be up the pecking order if he did come to Dallas,” Irvin said. “… It’s much more difficult to stop a great tight end with a great wide receiver than it is to stop two great receivers.”
