Michigan knows how crucial Saturday’s game will be, with a ranked SEC team coming to The Big House and with everybody still talking about the great controversial escape that the Wolverines pulled off last Saturday night against Western Michigan.
With the Hail Mary that was all the talk of college football all week, Michigan is 1-0, despite what the naysayers are saying, but it is also unranked now after such a close call against Western Michigan. The team that the Wolverines will be facing in Week 2 isn’t unranked. Oklahoma is No. 11 in the country, and the Sooners didn’t need a miracle to be 1-0 this season after crushing UTEP, 51-0, last Friday night in Norman.
Michigan is well aware that it’ll have to step up its game a number of notches to outlast the Sooners in the noon ET kickoff on FOX. The Wolverines will once again be the center of attention, this time because they’re playing an elite opponent in the attractive FOX noon slot, and no matter what happens on the scoreboard they’ll be dressed for the all-important occasion.
On Friday afternoon, Michigan unveiled its uniform combo for the showdown, and it’ll be an all-too-familiar presentation when the Wolverines run onto the field at The Big House. In other words, Michigan’s classic uniform will be on display, with the Wolverines football social media account calling it “a classic look” in its post on Friday.
