Michigan superfan Dave Portnoy has a lot of things to say in the aftermath of Barstool Sports’s new partnership with FOX Sports for the upcoming college football season.

The founder of Barstool Sports is all fired up about Michigan, because when is he not fired up about the team that plays in the Big House? But he’s also fired up about the Big Ten in general, and he’s now joined forces with the network that features the Big Ten. But there was a whole lot more that Portnoy had to say on Thursday, so he took to his social media account and released a 2-minute, 25-second video that had, well, a little bit of everything in it.

There was boasting about Michigan, because why wouldn’t there be? But a Michigan fan, especially 1 in the national spotlight right now like Portnoy is, rarely misses the opportunity to rattle the cage of the Wolverines’s most bitter rival. So, naturally, the video contained a clip of the Wolverines and Buckeyes coming together on the field in Columbus after Michigan had beaten Ohio State yet again. Portnoy rhetorically asked in the video: “When was the last time Ohio State was able to beat Michigan?”

He knows the answer, of course. He just wanted to point out that the 2023 national champions have had the upper hand lately over the 2024 national champions.

Then came a dig at Alabama, because even Big Ten fanatics like Portnoy don’t exactly have a fondness for the program that’s dominated college football over the past few decades. Portnoy made sure to point out that Michigan has also dominated Alabama recently, including a College Football Playoff semifinal victory over the Crimson Tide during the Wolverines’s run to the national title a few years ago. Michigan also beat Alabama last season in the ReliaQuest Bowl, so Portnoy was just stating the truth about Michigan’s recent ownership of Ohio State and Alabama.

Here is Portnoy’s loud-and-proud full video from Thursday:

Portnoy will have plenty to say going forward after Barstool’s new deal was struck, and he was getting an early start on things on Thursday with that video.
