The No. 3 seed Georgia Bulldogs are preparing to take on the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day (8 pm ET, ESPN), and could be getting a pair of components on the offensive side of the ball by the time the College Football Playoff quarterfinal kicks off.

Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo told reporters Sunday that freshman tight end Ethan Barbour and senior wide receiver Colbie Young could both return to play against the Rebels at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Young has been out since sustaining a fractured leg in Georgia’s 42-35 victory over Ole Miss on Oct. 18. A former transfer from Miami, Young remains Georgia’s second-leading receiver behind Zachariah Branch with 23 catches for 336 yards and one touchdown.

Barbour has also been out since August with a fractured leg. He has not recorded a snap for the Bulldogs in 2025.

Georgia and Ole Miss have played 49 times throughout history, with the Bulldogs going 34-14-1 in a series that dates to 1940. The teams have never played each other in a postseason game.
