Mike Elko announced some unfortunate injury news for the Aggies at his weekly press conference on Monday.
Starting center Mark Nabou will miss the remainder of the 2024 season with an injury he suffered in the loss to Notre Dame, Elko said.
Mike Elko: "As we get into the OL, I'll give you one injury report; Mark Nabou Jr. is, unfortunately, going to be out for the rest of the year."

Nabou is a redshirt sophomore who was a key part of Texas A&M’s offensive line a year ago as well. He made 12 starts in 2023, with 11 of them coming at left guard. He beat out Kolinu’u Faaiu for the starting center job during fall camp.
Elko pointed out that Faaiu was tough competition for Nabou for that role, and that the competition wasn’t decided until a couple days before the Notre Dame contest.
Elko also confirmed that Faaiu is healthy going into the week after he departed the Notre Dame game with an injury of his own on Saturday night.
Mike Elko said Kolinu'u Faaiu is good to go Saturday after going down late vs. Notre Dame. Said he pushed Mark Nabou Jr. hard for the starting center job, and that it wasn't decided until last Thursday.

Texas A&M will be looking to rebound in Week 2 after a tough 23-13 loss to the Fighting Irish. The Aggies’ offensive line struggled in that game, so they’ll have to go back to the drawing board before their next game against a big-time opponent.
Texas A&M will face McNeese State in Week 2 before starting SEC play against Florida in Week 2.
