Jalen Green signed up to play for Jason Washington as a 5-star prospect in the class of 2018. After three seasons at Texas, Green has decided to come play for Washington again, this time at Mississippi State.
The Bulldogs announced the addition of the Longhorn transfer on Saturday. Green will have two years of eligibility at MSU.
Green played in 30 games, including eight starts, over three seasons at Texas. This past season, Green played in nine games for the Longhorns, making one start. He recorded 14 total tackles, a TFL, 2 pass breakups and an interception in his junior season.
Coming out of Heights High School in Houston, 247Sports rated Green the top prospect in Texas, No. 3 cornerback and No. 17 recruit overall nationally in the class of 2018. The 247Sports Composite, which factors in other recruiting rankings (ESPN, Rivals), rated Green a high 4-star as the No. 47 overall prospect in the class. Washington, Green’s primary recruiter to Texas, joined Mike Leach’s staff ahead of the 2020 season.
