Mississippi State signee J.T. Ginn delays MLB career following 1st Round selection

The Chris Lemonis era couldn’t have gotten off to a much better start as elite Mississippi State signee J.T. Ginn has announced his plans to play for the Bulldogs next season.

His decision is a surprise as Ginn was a first-round selection by the Dodgers and was poised to make a few million dollars via a signing bonus had he elected to forgo his collegiate career for Major League Baseball. Ginn was the last selection of the first round in the latest MLB Draft. Ginn was honored as the USA Today Gatorade Player of the Year in Mississippi following his senior season for Brandon High School.

This good news for Mississippi State comes after centerfielder Jake Mangum announced he also planned to be a Bulldog next season.
