Mississippi State’s 2025 campaign came to a close with a 38-19 loss to Ole Miss on Friday, and thus now Jeff Lebby‘s program has shifted its focus towards the offseason.

Of course, that time period brings with it a flurry of movement in the transfer portal, and with the Bulldogs looking to make a jump in Year 3 under Lebby, there figures to be plenty of change in Starkville.

The first domino of that reality fell Sunday, as veteran Mississippi State wide receiver Jordan Mosley announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal.

A Mobile, Alabama native, Mosley originally transferred to Starkville after spending the 2021 season at Northwestern, where he only registered a single catch.

After playing sparingly for the Bulldogs in 2022 and 2023, the 6-foot target broke out with 23 catches, 405 yards and three touchdowns in 2024.

But with the likes of Brenen Thompson and Anthony Evans III transferring into the program to replace some departed receivers, Mosley took a back seat in 2025. He hauled in just 8 passes for 168 yards and a score, and he did not record a catch following the team’s loss to Florida on Oct. 18.

Mosley was originally rated a 4-star prospect by 247Sports.
