Missouri is expected to be in the mix for transfer quarterback Conner Weigman, according to a report.

That’s per On3’s Pete Nakos, who notes that Weigman is also expected to be courted by programs such as Syracuse, Iowa, Louisville and Wisconsin.

Weigman has not officially entered the portal yet, but his intention to do so was reported by multiple outlets on Tuesday evening. Weigman had an up-and-down season with the Aggies and finished the year on the bench while Marcel Reed started games under center.

Weigman is a former 5-star prospect who has shown flashes of high-level play at times during his A&M career, but he’s also battled issues with injuries and effectiveness. This season, he completed 56% of his passes for 819 yards, 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

Weigman was a member of Texas A&M’s famous No. 1-ranked recruiting class back in 2022. He’s spent 3 years with the program, but still has 2 seasons of eligibility remaining because he redshirted in 2023.

Mizzou is certainly expected to be in the market for a quarterback this offseason. Brady Cook is out of eligibility, and the Tigers’ backup this season was veteran Drew Pyne. It would make sense for Mizzou to look for someone else to compete with Pyne for the starting job.
