The Missouri Tigers are reportedly about to lose a key piece of their offensive line, as tackle Johnny Williams IV is set to enter the transfer portal.

CBS Sports reported that Williams, who recorded 52 snaps over three games in 2025, will enter the portal when it opens Friday. Williams will have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.

Prior to Mizzou, the 6-foot-7, 327-pound Williams played 2 seasons at West Virginia – playing in 18 games for the Mountaineers and earning two starts. Williams portaled to Missouri in 2025 and backed up both tackle positions along with Jayven Richardson.

Missouri boasted the eighth-ranked rushing offense in the country in 2025, averaging 228.3 yards per game and fueled by All-SEC running back Ahmad Hardy. The sophomore running back went off for a school-record 1,649 yards along with 16 touchdowns in 2025.

Missouri was ranked inside the Top 25 in varying parts of the 2025 season and finished 8-5 – with all five losses coming against ranked opponents. The Tigers lost to then-No. 8 Alabama, then-No. 10 Vanderbilt, then-No. 3 Texas A&M and then-No. 8 Oklahoma in the regular season. The postseason was also not kind, as Mizzou fell 13-7 to No. 19 Virginia in the Gator Bowl.

Missouri currently has 11 players who have indicated they will enter the transfer portal, which closes Jan. 16.
