Missouri sees shooting guard, assists leader, reportedly enter the transfer portal

Missouri’s roster continues to evolve under Dennis Gates, and now the Tigers have reportedly seen another player look for a change of scenery.

Jarron Coleman, a shooting guard, who averaged 8.6 points per game, and led the team with 86 assists. Coleman appeared in 31 games and started 21. His best games came against Alabama when he scored 18 and 17 points.

Coleman redshirted his first season at Ball State, and then the Indianapolis, Indiana (Cathedral) native played 2 more seasons at Ball State before he transferred to Mizzou. Two seasons ago, he averaged 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and a team-high 3.2 assists while shooting 47.7 percent from the field, 42.3 percent from deep and 78.1 percent at the free throw line.

In 2019-20, Coleman was the MAC Freshman of the Year in 2019-20, and made 25 starts in 31 games. He led all MAC freshmen during league play in scoring, rebounding and assists and averaged 9.3 points in his first collegiate campaign, and cracked the Top Ten of Ball State’s all-time freshman scoring list.

Coming out of high school, Coleman was rated the No. 7 player in the state of Indiana in the class of 2018.
