Missouri added a big-time player to its 2026 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers picked up a commitment from 3-star offensive lineman Khalief Canty. A Detroit native, Canty chose Mizzou over offers from programs such as Alabama, Michigan State, North Carolina, Texas A&M and many more.

Canty is a strong pickup for Mizzou in the class of 2026. He’s currently regarded as a 3-star recruit, but could earn blue-chip status before the end of this cycle. He’s currently the No. 434 overall player and the No. 38 interior offensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Canty attends Cass Technical in Detroit. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 305 pounds. He first picked up his offer from Eli Drinkwitz and the Mizzou staff back in February.
Mizzou is now up to 6 commits in the class of 2026. The Tigers are lagging a bit behind some of their SEC counterparts, but they still have time to add to this class before the end of the cycle. History suggests they will do so — last year Mizzou signed a top-20 recruiting class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
