Mizzou moved to 6-2 on the season with a dominant 34-10 win over Arkansas on Saturday in Fayetteville.
The Tigers jumped out to a 10-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Quarterback Austin Simmons threw for a pair of touchdowns and Jamal Roberts rushed for another in the blowout victory.
Mizzou has now defeated Arkansas in 5 consecutive seasons:
This game also marked the return of superstar Ahmad Hardy, who missed the first 7 games of the season due to an offseason gunshot wound. Hardy carried the ball twice for 5 yards in his return to action.
Roberts continued his stellar season. He rushed for 138 yards on 23 carries, eclipsing the century mark for the third time in the last 4 games.
Simmons threw for just 179 yards, but didn’t turn it over and helped Mizzou convert 6-of-13 third-down attempts.
Mizzou will now prepare for a stretch of 3 consecutive games against ranked opponents, starting next week with a potential top-10 Texas team set to make the trip to Columbia.
