Mizzou defense smothers South Carolina with strong 2nd half

It was a great day if you’re a Missouri football fan, as the team looked really good on Saturday.
The Missouri Tigers dominated the game against the South Carolina Gamecocks, winning the game 34-12. Cody Schrader had a big game running the ball, finishing with 26 carries for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Brady Cook threw for 198 yards and 1 touchdown, while Luther Burden III had 4 catches for 90 yards and 1 touchdown.
However, as good as the offense was, it was the defense that stole the show on Saturday. The Gamecocks finished with 286 yards of total offense, and Spencer Rattler was running for his life the entire day. Rattler was sacked 6 times by the Missouri defense, and the Tigers intercepted Rattler once.

Missouri all year has played some great offense, but the defense has improved each week. If the Tigers continue to play defense like they did on Saturday, then the Tigers have a chance for a truly special season.
Missouri will have a bye next weekend, and then will travel to take on Georgia Bulldogs in one of the biggest games for Missouri in a long time.
