After devastating flooding in Louisiana, the University of South Carolina recently sent two truckloads of supplies to LSU to help those affected in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. Alabama coach Nick Saban called on Crimson Tide fans to donate to flood victims. Now, another member of the SEC community is stepping up to help the Bayou Bengals.

Missouri’s official Twitter account encouraged followers to donate to the American Red Cross’ relief efforts in Louisiana as part of what its calling “Tigers for Tigers.”

The two Tigers teams have not previously met in conference action (the only meeting came in 1978), but this gesture should lead to a warm welcome (for an opponent) on Oct. 1 when MU travels to Tiger Stadium.
