If the last two seasons are any indication, SEC fans need to remember the name Tre Williams.

Did any other team really have a chance at a 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end attending high school in Columbia, Mo.?

Williams committed to Mizzou on Friday after attending the team’s junior day.

A four-star recruit according to Rivals.com, he’s the most recent development project for defensive coordinator Barry Odom and defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski. Perhaps in two years Terry Beckner Jr. and Williams will be the latest pair of star Tigers along the defensive line making NFL draft scouts salivate.

Williams held offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Cal, and perhaps most delightfully, Kansas.

Mizzou now has five commitments for 2016. Williams, from Rock Bridge High School, represents the seventh-rated player from the state, according to 247Sports.
