Former Kentucky forward Mouhamed Dioubate has announced that he will transfer to LSU, keeping him in the SEC for his final season of college basketball. Before playing at Kentucky, Dioubate played 2 seasons at Alabama under head coach Nate Oats.
Dioubate is a great SEC player who has 101 games of experience under his belt, as well as just under 60 conference games. Last season for the Wildcats Dioubate averaged 8.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal per game. An efficient scorer and a strong defender, Dioubate is a perfect addition for Will Wade’s first team back in Baton Rouge.
More importantly, Dioubate is simply an addition. This is Wade’s first transfer commitment of his second LSU tenure with LSU’s entire 2025-26 roster departing. Obviously, Wade still had a lot of work to do in the transfer portal, but this is a great start.

Dioubate started 10 games for Kentucky last season and had a particularly great outing for the Wildcats during their first round NCAA tournament win over Santa Clara, dropping 17 points with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.
