Multiple SEC Standouts have landed on the AP Midseason All-America Team, released on Tuesday afternoon.
8 players from 6 SEC programs made it onto the midseason list. Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker won the Midseason Quarterback of the Year honor.
Alabama RB Jahmyr Gibbs also made the list as an all-purpose player. Gibbs is just overshadowed by what Chase Brown and Blake Corum have been able to do in the B1G.
Here are the rest of the SEC selections, per the AP:
- QB – Hendon Hooker, Tennessee
- G – O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida
- WR – Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee
- All-Purpose – Jahmyr Gibbs, Alabama
- EDGE – Will Anderson, Alabama
- LB – Drew Sanders, Arkansas
- CB – Emmanuel Forbes, Mississippi State
- S – Christopher Smith, Georgia
