Three SEC programs remain in the mix for 4-star safety Nascar McCoy in the class of 2026.

In addition to having a unique nickname, McCoy is an excellent defensive back prospect. He’s the No. 325 overall player and the No. 26 safety in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. McCoy is also the No. 40 player from the state of Georgia.

The talented 4-star safety attends Buford High School in Buford, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds. Buford has produced numerous elite football prospects in recent years, including Georgia safety KJ Bolden.

McCoy has some excellent options to consider as he narrows down his recruitment. Each of Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas A&M appear to be building elite recruiting classes in 2026. Whatever McCoy’s final decision is, it’s expected to come soon. He’s slated to make a commitment on Friday, July 25.
