Nate Frazier scores Georgia’s first TD of 2026 with 48-yard run

Nate Frazier served notice just 1 minute, 24 seconds into Georgia‘s season that the Bulldogs were coming for everybody in 2026.
Yes, it was just Tennessee State, an FCS team from the Ohio Valley Conference that No. 3 Georgia was set to run all over on Saturday in Athens. But still, Frazier’s 48-yard touchdown burst came very quickly after kickoff and was really impressive, as he burst through the middle before outlasting the Tigers’ defense to the right corner of the end zone.
With 13:36 left in the first quarter, it was already 7-0 Georgia, and Frazier already had a highlight-reel play to his credit for a 2026 season that had literally started moments earlier.

Frazier would soon be back at it for Georgia on Saturday, adding a 14-yard touchdown run with 10:08 left in the opening quarter. So, less than 5 minutes into the season, the junior who ran for 947 yards last season for the Dawgs already had 2 touchdowns, which is also saying something because he had 6 touchdowns all of last year.
Talk about making an early statement in 2026. It was all Frazier all the time early in Saturday’s game, as Georgia took a 14-0 lead that served notice about the 2-time defending SEC champs’ motivation this fall.
