NCAA to publicize findings from Michigan sign-stealing investigation this week, per report

The NCAA has been investigating the Michigan sign-stealing scandal for quite some time, and that saga is expected to come to an end on Friday.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel and Dan Wetzel, the NCAA has told all parties involved that they would be publicizing their findings — and punishments — on Friday.
This case has been going on for a long time, and it has been well documented. There was even a Netflix documentary about former staffer Connor Stalions, who is at the center of the NCAA’s investigation into the Wolverines.
The NCAA’s committee on infractions could levy any number of punishments on Michigan as a result of its investigations, including a potential postseason ban. Fines and scholarship reduction are also possible based on the committee’s history.
For Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines, this is just another shadow that this entire case has put over the program as they prepare for a Week 1 game against New Mexico. Moore will serve a self-imposed 2 game suspension this season during Weeks 3 and 4 as a result of his alleged role in the sign-stealing scandal.
However, Moore will be on the sidelines for Michigan’s season-opener vs. New Mexico and its Week 2 contest against Oklahoma.
