Neal Brown wasn’t happy with the way the Backyard Brawl against Pitt was officiated, it seems.

Following West Virginia’s 38-31 loss to rival Pitt in front of a record crowd for Pittsburgh sports, Brown went after the refs in the moments after his postgame handshake with Pat Narduzzi.

As you can see below, he started following the refs as they jogged off the field, jawing at the head official:

The Mountaineers came up short on a last-drive attempt to tie the game, with a 4th down pass just missing the intended receiver’s hands.

Perhaps Brown was upset that a potential targeting penalty was ruled not to be targeting earlier in the final drive. But, for now, we’ll have to wait to see if Brown addresses it in his postgame press conference.
