12 SEC standouts among top 32 prospects in ESPN’s Todd McShay NFL Draft big board

As we get closer to the 2021 NFL Draft, the experts are updating their mock drafts.

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay shared his updated big board of the top 32 players (for the 32 first-round picks) on Friday. McShay has 12 SEC standouts in the group, including four in the top 10.

LSU’s JaMarr Chase leads it off at No. 2 overall. Alabama’s 2020 national championship squad is also well-represented with six first-round selections, including Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith and his starting quarterback.

Here’s the list of SEC players in McShay’s latest mock:

  • No. 2: LSU WR Ja’Marr Chase
  • No. 6: Florida TE Kyle Pitts
  • No. 7: Alabama WR DeVonta Smith
  • No. 9: Alabama CB Patrick Surtain II
  • No. 11: Alabama WR Jaylen Waddle
  • No. 19: Florida WR Kadarius Toney
  • No. 20: Alabama RB Najee Harris
  • No. 27: South Carolina CB Jaycee Horn
  • No. 28: Alabama QB Mac Jones
  • No. 29: Georgia OLB Azeez Ojulari
  • No. 30: Alabama DT Christian Barmore
  • No. 32: Mizzou ILB Nick Bolton
