LaNorris Sellers is generating some notable NFL Draft buzz ahead of his third season at South Carolina.
After redshirting in 2023, Sellers had a breakout season in 2024. Based on last year’s numbers of 65.6% complete at 8.5 yards per attempt for 2,534 yards and 18 touchdowns, plenty of NFL Draft experts are including Sellers in the 2026 mock drafts with the expectation that he will declare early.
Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network is one of the most popular draft experts and a writer of widely-read mocks leading up to the big event. In a Tuesday social media post, Jeremiah raved about Sellers, comparing the current South Carolina quarterback to former NFL QB Daunte Culpepper.
I've been studying these top college QB's and LaNorris Sellers JUMPS off the screen. His tools are very loud & he's more fundamentally dialed in than I expected. He reminds me of a more explosive Daunte Cullpepper. Big fan!

Culpepper played for UCF from 1995-98 before he was selected No. 11 overall in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. He played 11 seasons in the NFL, leading the league in passing yards in 2004 and passing touchdowns in 2000.
If Sellers is already Culpepper-like but even more explosive, he may be ready for the NFL after 3 years. Gamecock fans, however, are in no hurry to see the QB leave Columbia. Football fans everywhere are intrigued to see Sellers with a season of starting experience under his belt.
